“Built Different: Blueprint of a Black Empire”

She does not walk the city.
The city is built around her.

In this layered urban collage, skyscrapers fracture into her silhouette, merging flesh with infrastructure. The metropolis becomes skin. The skyline becomes memory. Architecture becomes ancestry.

Bold red typography slices through the grayscale grid like a declaration, not subtle, not polite, not asking permission. The contrast between black silhouette and mechanical cityscape interrogates who designs the future and whose presence is erased within it.

“Built Different” situates Black identity at the centre of modern power structures. It challenges the myth that cities are neutral spaces. They are coded. They are designed. They are political.

And in this work, she is no longer a resident of the system.

She is the blueprint.
